The drive between Jeddah and Riyadh is about 950 km and usually takes nine to ten hours. In a private car you leave when you are ready, stop for prayer, food and rest when you need to, and arrive at your door rather than an airport or bus station.
The fare is fixed per vehicle and the same in both directions, so a family of four pays 1,000 SAR between them in a Camry, from Jeddah to Riyadh or Riyadh to Jeddah.

The drive between Jeddah and Riyadh crosses the width of the Kingdom — around 950 km on the main highway inland via Makkah’s ring road and Taif, then east across the Najd plateau to the capital. It is a long but straightforward motorway journey, and our drivers know where the good rest areas and petrol stations are along the way.
Most families plan for nine to ten hours including stops. Leaving early in the morning means arriving in daylight and avoiding the hottest part of the day in summer.
A flight looks quicker, but once you add the trip to the airport, check-in, waiting and the drive at the other end, a door-to-door car is often similar in total time — and far easier with elderly parents, children or a lot of luggage. You leave when you are ready, keep your bags with you and stop whenever you need to.
Prices are one way, per vehicle, and the same in both directions. On a long drive, choose a vehicle with room to spare — a Staria for a family of five with luggage is far more comfortable than a full Camry.
