Not every journey is a long one. Most of what a pilgrim actually needs after the first day is short — out to the meeqat and back, across town to the station, a hotel change mid-stay. These are the trips where a street taxi costs least and causes the most trouble.

The problem is rarely the journey out. It is getting back. Stand outside Masjid Aisha at eleven at night in ihram, with the family waiting, trying to agree a fare with a driver who can see you have no alternative — that is the situation this service exists to remove.

Meeqat runs

Pilgrims already in Makkah who want to perform a second Umrah must leave the Haram boundary and enter ihram at a meeqat. Two are within easy reach of the city, and we run both.

Local runs

The everyday journeys inside a city, at a fixed fare agreed beforehand.

• Haramain train station transfers The station sits well outside the Haram area in both Makkah and Madinah. If you are taking the train between the cities, these are the legs at either end — and the reason the train is less convenient for families than it first appears.
• Hotel changes Moving between hotels mid-stay, with all your luggage, without negotiating on the street while standing over your cases.
• Haram drop-offs and collections For pilgrims staying further out, or anyone who would rather not walk back after Isha in the heat.
• Anywhere else inside the city Shopping districts, a clinic, a relative's hotel. If it is inside Makkah, Madinah or Jeddah, tell us where and we will quote a fixed fare.

How a short trip works

1. Tell us where and when A message with the destination, the time and how many of you are travelling is enough. We come back with a fixed fare.
2. Collection from your hotel The driver comes to you. You are not walking out to a main road to find him.
3. He waits, if the trip needs it On a meeqat run the return is part of the booking. You are not left to arrange your own way back at the other end.
4. The fare does not move No meter and no renegotiating at the destination. The figure confirmed on WhatsApp is the figure you pay.

Choosing your vehicle

The fare is for the whole vehicle, not per person. On short trips a Camry is usually enough for a family of four, but if you are moving hotels take something larger — luggage is what fills a car, not people.

Booking a local trip

These are the easiest bookings we take. Message us the destination, the time and the number of passengers, and we will usually have a fare back to you within minutes. Same-day is normal for short runs, though a meeqat trip in Ramadan is worth arranging a day ahead.

If you expect to make several short journeys across a stay, ask about booking the vehicle by the hour instead — for three or more trips in a day it often works out cheaper than booking each one.
